Interior Designer

We are seeking a self-motivated, Interior Designer to join our boutique interior design firm. Candidate must be a graduate in the field of interior design or a related field. Sketch Up or industry software related experience preferred. Candidate must be highly motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment. Compensation will commiserate with experience and qualifications. Job Duties

  • Create Design concepts and research materials including furniture, fabrics, lighting, accessories, etc. Procure design materials for project while adhering to the project’s predetermined budget and expectations
  • Prepare design presentations and partake in client, contractor and vendor meetings
  • Scheduling and track project time lines with Design Team
  • Coordinate and manage installations and deliveries with Director of Operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience with developing design concepts
  • Proficiency using AutoCAD or Revit and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment that requires multi-tasking
  • Ability to clearly and succinctly present design concepts both internally and externally
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline

Design Assistant

We are looking for a self-motivated, highly organized individual with strong administrative skills and a passion for design. Job responsibilities will focus on design project assistant, purchase administration, and general office administrative tasks. Salary is commensurate with experience. FT position. Not a remote job.

Job Duties

  • Provide design and administrative support to interior designers and operational staff
  • First line of communication with clients and vendors – i.e. answering phones, greeting entrants, suppliers/clients/vendors
  • Provide support to Design Team – sourcing, ordering memos/samples, putting design sheets together, procurement of items
  • Track orders after procurement through to delivery
  • Manage installations with Design Team
  • Aid in the management of inventory and library resources
  • Assist with firm marketing efforts as needed

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of experience in the Design Industry

Technical Skills Preferred
